13 Alliance is my group of friends found in my secondary school life. They are the reason back then why I wake up and go to
school and one of the most important people of my life! I hereby intro them one by one.. haha..

Elysia is a nice and innocent looking girl as you can see from this photo.. But you dun really wanna cross her.. hahaha... Both of us are
totally in love with Bling blings and Long John Silver. Even though she love Gold but I prefer Silver, well opposite attracts! =p
Always unpredictable and random, Limay is very fun to be with! Also, she is an expert in taking photos.. She got a lot of different ideas
and they always come out nice. She is a Must-have for photo-taking session!
I will never forget that incident where he went inside the Comic Connections Shop and was actually looking at POKEMON STATUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And those not nice one still! LOL! Leonard! He is a nice guy but he is also super no-link.. haha.. And always do things without studying bout the
subject hard enough.. LEONARD! DO MORE RESEARCH!!!! =p

Joanna is the one lar! LOL She is now studying in Lasalle, something about animation art.. Finally she got in to a course that she likes and is
interested in.. Other than that, she is a girl that will share everything she have and time with her is always enjoyable!
Alex ar.... I dun know what to say bout him leh.. LOL. He is reliable and not very reliable. He is considerate and not considerate. He is a
gentleman and oh so pervert.(All these are compliments!!) I think he is a bi-polar guy.. hahaha What can you say? He is Alex. =)
Yiqiang is someone you will go to when you have computer problems. He is also the source of animes for me.. He have the "Dun stand so
close to me, I dun know you" look but actually he is very nice when you start to know him properly. Always seen with Alex doing things that are
beyond explanable. Hahahaha!
Junlong is my god-brother forever!!!!! Words cannot describe how happy I am to have him as a god brother.. He is a good audience for
your troubles and the center of 13 Alliance.. and not forgetting he's a auntie-killer! =p
Everytime I see basket ball I think of Cheeming LOL. I think he is still a fan of Ninja stuff.. But anyway, he is a funny guy and loves to
overtrain himself. Please take care of your body!!!!!
Xue ming got into Ngee Ann poly ler!! Gratz! She is MIA in progress but we hope to see more of her.. Same as Joanna, she also share

WTF
*ok prepare for a Loooong Rant*
RP REFUSES TO HOLD RESPONISBILITIES FOR THE FLU!!! WTF?!?!? The principal give out a message today and Limay asked me to go read. She say it's all crap And ya I have to strongly agree after I read it. LOOK AT THIS

And the reason they never close the school??
Second, calls to completely close down RP is not the answer as it begs the question “how long should we close down?” No one knows when this whole pandemic is going to tail off. The questions we have to ask next are: Does that mean everyone has to stay home and not go out? And, will closing down RP for a week or two ensure that our students and staff stay at home and not go out and get infected by others elsewhere? One could easily catch this flu should an infected person, be it a family member, friend or stranger comes into contact. So where do we go from here?
Please lar!! Have you notice that all the victims are from RP? If that's the case that they are from other places, then why are they ALL from REPUBLIC POLY????? This is just sick lar! And I thought if it reaches this high, the MOH or the MOE will do something bout it.. BUT NO! Look.

Maybe they dun wan close because RP is PBL learning system So they couldn't close like the other polys as they are text book base and E-learning at home is easy for them. Us cannot. Because us is base on daily grade and group performance and E-learning is difficult. But can just close the place, then cut in our holidays right?? Ok I know people are gonna complain because who want their holidays cut? But again, who wanna get this flu and risk your life, and oh god, the hospital fees????? (even though no one have died in Singapore of H1N1) I rather have the holidays cut. Haiz. Enough of all these nonsense.. I can go on forever ranting. Principal's Message
Dear students,
What a tumultuous week we have had since the A-H1N1 flu virus arrived in our campus. While the majority of you have remained calm and focused on your education, and RP thank you for that, we have, on the other hand, been besieged by the media and several calls to close down RP completely. We have been criticised on on-line forums, petitioned by some students and vilified in blogs, some accusing us that we have not acted in your best interest.
Believe me, I, too share your strong concerns over health issues brought about by this nasty virus.
First, allow me to reiterate my personal assurance to you that the health and wellbeing of everyone at RP is given serious attention to. With this message I hope to give you a better understanding about what we are doing to minimise and contain the impact of this flu virus on our campus and make it a safe place for everyone – students and staff.
RP is working very closely with both the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Ministry of Education (MOE) and we are guided by their advices on how to contain the spread of the virus. To date, RP has taken the following measures:
All students or staff who were in direct or suspected to have come into contact with confirmed A-H1N1 cases have been given Leave of Absence (LOA) and instructed to learn or work from home. Following the MOH and MOE guidelines, we made this decision to contain the virus from spreading among students and staff. The over 4,500 students and staff who were given LOA will be returning to campus this Thursday, July 2. The infected students and staff, who are currently on medical leave, will only return when they have been medically cleared of the virus.
You would be interested to know that most of the students who recently came down with the A-H1N1 flu did not catch the virus in RP but from external sources
We recently learned that one of the first students to be confirmed with the A-H1N1 virus has recovered, and has subsequently tested negative for the virus. We are hopeful that this will be case for all our other students who have contracted the virus.
When RP first learned about the infections, we immediately directed our Estates department to clean and disinfect the affected areas (classrooms, corridors, toilets and other public areas). We are still maintaining our cleaning regiment daily. Having learned from the MOH that the A-H1N1 virus cannot survive beyond eight hours, we locked up those classrooms, and by this time, those germs would have long perished. This way, RP is trying to keep the virus out of the campus as contamination is through person to person contact of less than two metres' distance.
We are also taking the following actions: • distributing free face masks to any student at RP who needs it • we ask everyone to take their temperatures and declare them online • anyone who feels unwell are asked to go to the doctor or to a nearby Pandemic Preparedness Clinic and have themselves checked • everyone has to declare their travel itinerary and most official business travel has been postponed till further notice • anyone who has travelled to the high-risk countries as identified by MOH will be asked to stay at home for seven days and monitor their health. If there are signs of flu-like symptoms, they are told to go and see the doctor at once. • set up a crisis centre at RP, which is operational 24 hours a day. • set up a special intranet website where all the latest updates on the flu can be easily accessed by all students (www.rp.sg/flu).
Now, I like to take a minute or two to share with you about the realities of the A-H1N1 virus. • First, as the Health authorities tell us, the A-H1N1 virus, like other flu viruses or the common cold, is here to stay and will be part of our lives, going forward. You may catch it in buses, MRT trains, shopping centres, food courts, cinemas, even at home.

• Collectively, we have to remain calm and not panic. Some of us may catch the infection at some time or other. If we catch the flu, or any other illness, we will just have to go and get it treated. Unless we are all able to cocoon ourselves in a germ-free environment, which is unrealistic, we have to take it in our stride and manage the situation as life has to go on. I am sure you have noted that businesses and offices in Singapore have not closed; people still shop, eat, travel, work and play. It is very much business as usual elsewhere, and it is the same for RP.
I understand your fears and appreciate your concerns. But we should recognise that this flu bug will be around for a while and which will bother us from time to time and becoming classified as “seasonal flu”.
For those with health issues and cannot afford to catch this virus, the RP Management is sympathetic and understands your needs. Please approach your School Management to work out a solution as we have already made provisions for students with sensitive health issues.
You have my assurance that RP management is doing all we can, within reasonable limits, to keep RP a safe environment for you. We are on the lookout for anyone who looks unwell, and they will be referred to a nearby Pandemic Preparedness Clinic, when indicated. We have dedicated staff working round the clock and we are constantly re-evaluating our options with MOE to ensure that everyone on campus does not face undue risk.
